The Department of Planning, Development and Research functions through five separate sections namely; Planning Section; Research Section; Management of Data Education Section; Development and Monitoring Education Section; and Management and Administration Section. Its roles and responsibilities are to assist the Ministry of Education (MOE) to plan, research and carry out educational programs/projects while at the same time manage a system of information technology and prepare educational statistics.
