1930
First Girls High School was established in Bandar Seri Begawan with 24 students.
1955
The plan of STPRI was prepared by Booty and Edwards Chartered Architects.
January 1957
STPRI was officially opened. During that time, it was known as Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri, which has only one building ( Nowadays known as Block A) which includes five classes with 99 students.
1st January 1958
The official opening and the changing of SekolahTinggiPerempuan to Sekolah Tinggi Perempuan Raja Isteri in remembrance of Almarhumah Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Seri Suri Begawan Raja Pengiran Anak Damit binti Pengiran Bendahara Pengiran Anak Abdul Rahman.
1958
A hostel has been built specially for student from Temburong District, Tutong District and other rural area. ; 1966 For the first time, STPRI officially introduced Sport's day.
1970
The construction of buildings of STPRI started ( canteen, auditorium and a library were built).
1978
Fourth form was introduced.
1979
The first time STPRI's students sit for the GCE 'O' Level.
1982
STPRI celebrated 'Silver Jubilee' ; 2002 Accepted sixth form for the first time.
2005
Sixth form students were transferred to PTE Berakas.
2007
STPRI celebrated its Golden Jubilee.
